Celcom-Digi merger a precursor for better end-user experience - expert

With the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) targeting 80 percent integration of the 5G network into Malaysians’ lives, an academician said the Celcom-Digi merger would certainly enhance and be the precursor of a better end-user cellular experience.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) School of Electrical Engineering lecturer Assoc Prof Dr Leow Chee Yen said when these two colossal operators merge, they would be able to share their network infrastructure and leverage each other’s signal strength in areas in which any of them has an advantage.
