Sosma extension provides opportunity for police to be more efficient - IGP

The Dewan Rakyat’s decision to pass the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) yesterday will provide the opportunity for the police to carry out their responsibility to maintain public safety and order more efficiently.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the police welcome the decision and greatly appreciate the government's efforts through the Home Affairs Ministry, which resubmitted the motion in the Dewan Rakyat.
