Bukit Aman launches probe against ex-AG Apandi over 1MDB

Police have launched an investigation against former attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali under Section 217 of the Penal Code over the 1MDB and SRC International financial scandal.

This comes following a report lodged by Klang MP Charles Santiago on Wednesday, who alleged that Apandi had abused his power to cover up investigations into the financial scandals with the intention to clear former premier Najib Abdul Razak.
