Socso enforces new salary ceiling limit for contributions from Sept 1

The Human Resources Ministry through the Social Security Organisation (Socso) will enforce a new monthly salary ceiling limit for contribution purposes from Sept 1.

Socso chief executive officer Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed said it is expected that 1.5 million workers or almost 19 percent of the total contributors across the country will be involved in the salary ceiling increase which includes local and foreign workers.
