YOURSAY | Party-hopper Afif is also guilty of name-calling

YOURSAY | ‘If your ‘anak buah’ jump like a frog, would you just watch and smile?’

Afif: Anwar adopting 'Mao-style' demonising of dissidents

Kilimanjaro: We believe that PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has been too soft on these traitors. Anwar has been and will be always on the side of voters.

When these traitors were selected and stood under the party ticket, there is a solemn trust that the selected and elected candidates have to maintain and safeguard.

Seberang Jaya assemblyperson Dr Afif Bahardin (who left PKR in 2020 to join Bersatu) should have given up his elected office and sought a fresh mandate. It is because of such traitors and frogs that the people have gone on a crusade to insist on the anti-hopping bill.

According to the Federal Court, the anti-hopping bill in Penang, which was passed in its state assembly, is sound and fine.

Anwar and Harapan should select strong candidates to finish off these frogs. What democracy is Afif talking about? He betrayed the voters who elected him. ‘Tak malu ke dia’ (Is he not ashamed?)

Apanama is Back: Afif, you better move out of your state seat in Penang because you will not be re-elected in the coming polls.

Seberang Jaya is one of the constituencies under Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat (a PKR stronghold).

While PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang called Pakatan Harapan leaders "non-believers and immoral", you described PKR president Anwar Ibrahim as a "communist".

You mentioned that Anwar attacks PKR defectors with abuses and name-calling, and this is akin to him adopting “Mao-style” of demonising dissidents.

If what you did is not name-calling, then what is it?

One day when you become a leader of a party and your 'anak buah' jump like a frog to another party, you just watch and smile?

Undecided: Afif urged Malaysians to be wary of PKR because the party resorted to "communist-style politics of hatred and name-calling".

Firstly Afif, there is no such thing as "communist-style politics of hatred and name-calling". Even if there was, you appear to be doing the same thing.

There is little doubt that frogs like yourself and former PKR deputy chief Azmin Ali deserve to be punished for betraying the people's mandate - the recent anti-hopping legislation passed is confirmation of this unacceptable and corrupt behaviour.

Ememkay: Afif, I fully agree with Anwar for demonising dissidents because the people's mandate at GE14 was not respected by the Sheraton Move traitors such as you.

BN, PN and PAS are questioning what Harapan had done during the 22 months it was in power when it was not allowed to govern properly.

However, even with the difficult situation, Harapan managed to bring down tolls, implemented a minimum salary with a gradual yearly increase of RM100 that was not excessive for industries to manage and many other people-oriented programmes, as well as bringing the kleptocrats to justice.

Goliath: The right to leave a political party is revoked the minute you con the rakyat into voting for you and supposedly for a coalition where the rakyat want as the government of the day.

You can leave a political party if there is no impact on who we choose as the government, but you cannot leave a party to topple a chosen government and install a new one that the rakyat did not want.

The damage that you and Azmin had caused to the country will take years to repair, if at all it can be repaired, and the selfishness in your act of betrayal is equivalent to traitors that must be called out and terminated to root out politicians who place their existence above the nation.

The push for Anwar to be the PM during the Harapan days was the right move and should have been carried out because we all know the consequences that former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad and former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin will bring to this country.

And so far, we were not wrong.

Existential Turd: “Afif urged Malaysians to be wary of PKR because the party resorted to ‘communist-style politics of hatred and name-calling’.”

Well, Afif, PAS has been a long-time practitioner of demonising the minorities. Have you ever compared it to communism and Mao Zedong?

At least what Anwar said has some truth in it. What PAS leaders often say is plain fear-mongering, xenophobia and bigotry.

Gerard Lourdesamy: Why should we listen to a traitor? If principles mattered to people like Afif, he should have vacated his seat when switching parties and let the voters decide.

How did Anwar undermine the Harapan government? Azmin was colluding with Umno ministers Hishammuddin Hussein (defence) and Hamzah Zainuddin (home) to bring down the government and prevent the transition because he himself wanted to become deputy prime minister and eventually prime minister.

The Penang voters will show Afif the door in GE15.
