Harassment repeated twice can be deemed stalking under new law

Come December, stalking someone on “at least two occasions” could be an offence and punished with up to three years in prison under the Anti-Stalking Bill, said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Parliament and Law) Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.

The Bill is expected to make it through both houses of Parliament in October and Mas Ermieyati said, for the first time in Malaysia, repeatedly stalking someone physically or virtually would be a crime.
