Covid-19 (Oct 30): 3,129 new cases, 2 deaths
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,129 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Although hospitalisation of Covid-19 patients has been increasing of late, hospital bed utilisation has not reached critical levels and is currently at 68.2 percent.
Active cases currently stood at 31,365, up 35.9 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Kuala Lumpur (660)
Perak (222)
Penang (173)
Sabah (156)
Negeri Sembilan (135)
Kedah (69)
Malacca (69)
Johor (46)
Kelantan (46)
Pahang (44)
Sarawak (44)
Putrajaya (38)
Terengganu (28)
Perlis (7)

Another two deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday in Penang and Sarawak.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,466 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 92 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 158 deaths last month and 247 deaths in August.
There are 1,444 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 66 are in intensive care.
The number for hospitalised Covid-19 patients have not been this high since Aug 19.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (116) followed by Sabah (80) and Johor (64).
