'Some in Umno undermining BN' - Hadi's claim on BN-Harapan pact

Nuyiko: It’s more accurate to say PAS is working secretly working with Umno. It will readily abandon Perikatan Nasional and Bersatu after the 15th general election to form a new government with Umno. Until today, it hadn’t officially denounced the Muafakat Nasional pact with Umno.

If you pay attention, PAS is doing everything PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang accused Pakatan Harapan is allegedly doing, especially DAP.

For example, PAS said DAP attacked the palace but they were the ones that upset the palace over the revocation of the emergency ordinances without the palace’s consent.

PAS accused DAP of being communist when, in reality, PAS is behaving like communist China as the Islamic party is seeking to control what people read and is inclined to censor the internet.

Falcon: Up to now, there are absolutely no policy positions presented to voters. There are just smear campaigns.

There are freebies and goodies offered and no guess where the money is coming from. There are numerous campaigns where you see candidates who want to be an MP to serve their community without joining cartels and fractions, end up being politically killed off.

Then you have politicians who are super-duper rich, from wealth generated from a political party, even given protection when allegations rise of corruption, sex scandals, inappropriate behaviour, and when replaced, show their very true colours.

Then some preach about reforms but don't provide anything about what that means.

Yes, everyone wants to be the prime minister. But so far, there are no policy initiatives that hopefully bring Malaysia out of the Asean dump it is in today.

No, to do that, one has to be intelligent and have integrity and respect for parliamentary democracy and the rights of citizens.

Here, the statements made by political leaders are just shockingly embarrassing, shallow, and demeaning. Is this a mirror of where we are as a nation?

White Pony 9855: Anything is possible in politics. Back in 2008, PAS was in a coalition with PKR and DAP under Pakatan Rakyat.

Then in 2015, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and subsequently former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin (before he succeeded Mahathir after the Sheraton Move) and many ex-Umno formed Bersatu and joined the Harapan coalition with PKR, DAP and Amanah.

Let's admit it. All these instigations and falsehoods directed at DAP are political antics to instil fear among Malays and Muslims to cover up their political leader's shortcomings, corruption, and abuses of power.

There are so many cases and examples to be seen everywhere, but somehow many tend not to see or believe facts. This is sad and we believe many leaders within Umno are fully aware of these shameful revelations but just don't have the strength and courage to speak up because of political survival. The party president's power is too mighty.

God is Great. There will come a time when Umno will produce leaders who are prepared to cooperate with others, including Harapan, for the good of this country.

Omissions R Dishonest: This is a desperate attempt to undermine Harapan. If you repeat a lie often enough, others may believe it.

The current youngsters are now suffering from corruption, with new graduates unable to find suitable jobs and some going into bankruptcy.

The mega scandals such as 1MDB, LCS (light combat ship) and other still hidden ones have caused a huge build-up of debts for the current and future generations to have to carry. One more major one and we will never be able to pull ourselves out of the corruption quicksand.

Fairplay: BN and Harapan can claim to represent all Malaysians. Who does PAS represent in your myopic political aspiration?

So, why should all of you be surprised if someone (allegedly Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi) is indeed working together with Harapan leader Anwar Ibrahim?

I see the action by Anwar not replacing their candidate PKR’s deputy information chief, R Ramanan, in Sungai Buloh, where health minister Khairy Jamaluddin of Umno is contesting, as a case in point - working together to bring into existence a new beginning after the upcoming general election minus all radical political elements being played out since independence by the ‘ketuanan politicians’.

Appum: In Hadi’s conflicted and extremist mind, he will coin up all sorts of imagery to allow him and PAS to stay alive and relevant to some voters.

The next thing he will come out to say is that Umno is also turning communist after being influenced by DAP. Maybe Hadi is confused by the terms ‘communal’ (of which his party is one) and ‘communism’.

Man on a Silver Mountain: As a so-called religious person, a self-proclaimed guru, Hadi is getting more and more political.

However, it does not commensurate with what a respected religious teacher should take. His politics are toxic, judging, and belittling others, not to mention the underlying racism and bigotry.

He also dwells on gossip and hearsay. He probably realises that their political support is dwindling. The bottom line for him is at least to retain his hardcore followers.

If those switch sides too, he is finished. Hadi, therefore, should worry more about his party instead of speculating about others.

PAS has been thoroughly spurned. There is no issue with Harapan as the latter has never proposed a coalition with PAS.
