Covid-19 (Nov 30): 1,737 new cases, 17 deaths

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,737 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.

Active cases currently stand at 24,960, down 10.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Selangor (367)
Kuala Lumpur (193)
Sarawak (166)
Kedah (164)
Malacca (134)
Sabah (125)
Kelantan (123)
Perak (88)
Penang (82)
Pahang (80)
Negeri Sembilan (64)
Terengganu (57)
Johor (43)
Labuan (24)
Putrajaya (19)
Perlis (8)

Another 17 deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which 6 were declared as "brought in dead".

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,684 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There have been 209 reported Covid-19 deaths in December, more than double the 101 seen last month.

There are 1,848 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of whom 94 are in intensive care.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (153) followed by Sabah (91) and Perak (66).
