Inflation eases to 3.8pct in Dec 2022 - statistics department

Malaysia’s inflation eased to 3.8 percent in December 2022 as compared to 4 percent in November 2022, thanks to a slower increase in the Food & Non-Alcoholic Beverages group, said the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM).

Overall, inflation for 2022 increased to 3.3 percent as compared to 2.5 percent recorded in 2021, chief statistician Mohd Uzir Mahidin said.
