Over 1k prisoners to be released early in conjunction with Hari Raya

Earlier today, when announcing a number of festive offerings in celebration of Hari Raya, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim disclosed that more than 1,000 prisoners would be granted a licensed release from incarceration.

He said that the Madani Ihsan Licensed Release of Prisoners Programme was meant to provide inmates with the opportunity to celebrate Aidilfitri with their beloved families to strengthen family ties.
