Speakers from other states need approval to preach in Malacca

Local speakers from outside Malacca or abroad who want to conduct dakwah (missionary work) in the state need to obtain special permission from the Malacca Islamic Religious Council (Maim).

Malacca Mufti Abdul Halim Tawil said it is a precautionary measure to ensure speakers who came did not bring elements of division and khilafah (discord) among the communities in the state.
