PAS hopes Dr M's support for PN would cleanse his 'past mistakes'

PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Abdullah said Dr Mahathir Mohamad's decision to back Perikatan Nasional in the coming state elections would wipe off the former premier's "past mistakes."

"Everyone has a history. Even in the history of Islam, many who embraced the religion came with issues before converting," Amar (above) told reporters after attending the 'Munajat Rakyat' programme in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, last night.
