1MDB lawsuit: Arul Kanda seeks to counterclaim nearly RM57m

Former 1MDB CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy is seeking civil court leave to lodge a counterclaim of nearly RM57 million against the troubled Malaysian sovereign wealth fund.

1MDB also has a longstanding lawsuit against Arul Kanda over alleged breach of trust and conspiracy that caused the fund to suffer losses amounting to US$1.83 billion (RM8.05 billion).
