NGO president among 6 nabbed over sales of fake federal awards

Six individuals, including the president of a NGO, were arrested by the MACC for alleged involvement in a syndicate selling fake federal awards for the title “Tan Sri” with payments totalling about RM2 million.

The six suspects, comprising four males including the president of the NGO and two women, in their 30s to 50s, were arrested either at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya or in Malacca between Nov 30 and Dec 6.
