PM's aide moots executive powers for DBKL advisers as alternative to polls

An aide to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has suggested that instead of a local election, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) board of advisers should be given executive powers.

According to Azman Abidin, this can serve as an alternative to polls while also creating a proper check and balance for the Kuala Lumpur mayor.
