Taiping council clarifies Chinese calligraphy contest poster furore

The Taiping Municipal Council (MPT) has cleared the air regarding a poster for a Chinese calligraphy competition, which netizens said neglected the use of Bahasa Malaysia.
According to the council’s Corporate, Public Relations and Tourism Department chief Muhamad Hafizzuddin Azhar, the said programme - which among others, features the photo of Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming on the poster, is not organised by MPT.
