US jury orders Trump to pay writer US$83.3m for defamation
A New York jury on Friday ordered former United States president Donald Trump to pay writer E Jean Carroll US$83.3 million in damages for defamation after she accused him of sexual assault, Anadolu Agency reported.
The jury awarded Carroll US$65 million in punitive damages, US$11 million for damage to her reputation, and another US$7.3 million, according to multiple outlets.
