Hamas welcomes UN resolution for immediate ceasefire in Gaza

Hamas on Monday welcomed a United Nations Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Anadolu reported.

“We underline the necessity of reaching a permanent ceasefire that leads to the withdrawal of all Israeli forces from Gaza and the return of the displaced to their homes,” the group said in a statement.
