Thailand’s lower house has passed a marriage equality bill which will make it the first country in Southeast Asia to legalise same-sex marriage.
According to reports, the vote passed by a landslide 399 votes, with only 10 lawmakers voting against it.
The bill’s passage is viewed as a significant victory for LGBTQ+ advocacy groups in the country who have been campaigning for marriage equality for years.
