Police: Klang child 'abduction' a misunderstanding

The alleged kidnapping attempt of a child by two foreigners at a supermarket in Klang last Monday turned out to be a case of misunderstanding.

According to Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan, a study of the closed-circuit television camera recording showed that the 19-month-old girl, who had gone there with her mother and aunt, was having difficulty ascending a malfunctioned escalator.
