No-go for media to follow Najib's house arrest proceedings in chamber

The media was not allowed to cover the proceedings of Najib Abdul Razak's judicial review bid to seek house arrest for the remainder of his jail sentence after the Kuala Lumpur High Court allowed his application to switch the proceedings in chamber.

Judge Amarjeet Singh this morning allowed his application to convert the open-court proceedings into chamber matter.

Najib’s lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah told the court this was due to the nature of the application.
