Temerloh beauty pageant for 'janda' called off after MP's objection

A contest featuring a group of janda (a woman previously married and whose marriage was terminated by divorce or the death of her husband) modelling clothing scheduled for April 21 at a karaoke centre near Taman Tasik Chatin in Mentakab, Pahang has been cancelled.

The organiser of the contest, known as “Uncle John”, announced this in a WhatsApp voice message last night.
