Anwar suggests every leader, including PM, look after a village
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has suggested that every leader in the country, including the prime minister, be responsible for looking after a village to have first-hand knowledge of the problems faced by villagers.
Speaking at the Kenduri Rakyat Aidilfitri Perpaduan at Galeri Pejuang Cherok Tok Kun in Bukit Mertajam today, he said the proposal would involve ministers, top government leaders, and government-related companies.
Anwar, who is also the finance minister, said the proposal would be tabled at the cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
