BNM: M'sia's economy on track to grow 4-5pct this year
Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has maintained its forecast for the economy to grow between four to five percent this year, given the encouraging first quarter of 2024 (Q1 2024) growth of 4.2 percent.
Its governor Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour said the forecast was based on greater spillover from the tech upcycle, tourist arrivals, and swifter implementation of new and existing investment projects.
