WHO reports critical malnutrition among Gaza kids
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that more than 8,000 children under the age of five in the Gaza Strip have been treated for acute malnutrition, including 1,600 suffering from severe acute malnutrition, resulting in 28 deaths, the Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.
During a press conference in Geneva on Wednesday, WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus explained that a large proportion of the population of the Gaza Strip, devastated by the Israeli war, is facing a catastrophic level of food shortage and near-famine conditions.
