Weak US job data pushes Bursa M'sia lower at mid-afternoon

The weak United States jobs data has continued to push Bursa Malaysia lower at mid-afternoon, in tandem with the sharp downtrend in the regional bourses, especially Japan’s Nikkei 225 Index.

At the time of writing, Japan’s stock market plunged 4,451.28 points or 12.40 percent in trading today to 31,458.42, more than the drop recorded in 1987.
