Some progress cited as Gaza ceasefire talks close

Two days of talks on a ceasefire in the Gaza war have closed in Doha, the mediating countries Qatar, Egypt and the United States said on Friday.

Germany’s Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) reported that the mediating countries said the “remaining gaps” between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas are to be closed in the coming days.
