SAR team looking for sinkhole victim faces toxic gas at sewage plant
Highly toxic and flammable sewer gas in a 15m-high sewage tank at the Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) plant in Pantai Dalam posed a significant challenge for the search and rescue (SAR) team working to locate the Jalan Masjid India sinkhole victim.
A source told Bernama that the danger was identified after SAR team members were deployed to inspect the tank, initially with two personnel on Sunday and four on Monday.
