Not a 3R case, Guan Eng defends Teresa over halal cert probe

DAP chairperson Lim Guan Eng has defended Seputeh MP Teresa Kok over the halal certification issue saying that this is not a case involving race, religion and royalty (3R) as some quarters alleged.

This came after the DAP vice-chairperson remarked that making halal certification mandatory for restaurants would burden businesses following a government proposal to do so.
