1Bestarinet: MACC will consider YTL defence but probe continues

MACC today said it will consider YTL Corporation’s defence in its probe into the controversial 1BestariNet project and promised a fair investigation.

This comes after YTL, in a statement yesterday, rued about its reputation being harmed by accusations of misconduct over the Education Ministry contract, which it stressed was acquired through an open tender process.

MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki said it is premature to make any judgment at this juncture as the investigation is still underway...
